For Now is a collection of electroacoustic, instrumental songs that began as improvisations, and were slowly shaped into compositions over the course of 2018. They were initially written to be performed solo using a live looping system, but all of the layers were recorded live in studio.
This EP is dedicated to our grandmothers, to our ancestors. Specifically, to my grandmother, Eugenia Anderman, who survived unspeakable trauma in the holocaust and whose resilience, strength, and love through it all allowed me the gift of expression and finding joy through music and the violin, her favorite instrument. And to Síle O'Flynn, my adopted Irish grandmother, a majestic, powerful woman who was an inspiration to all who knew her, and who helped me find my way back to music.
